Currently, each user must go into their 'My Account' section and update their communication settings for each group to disable emails from coming through. The Member Digest Email contains information that many employees would not want, and many clients would like to limit the unnecessary emails their employees receive. Allowing this email to be disabled for all users by the client, or setting the default to 'Never', would ensure that users that do not often access the site or know how to adjust their communications would not receive this email if the client did not want them to.

This request has surfaced from two clients recently. RSM would like to use the Groups functionality for one of our firm's ENGs so they can have a centralized place to house all volunteer events, priority charities and a communicate as needed. We would like to upload 1,800ppl into the group to get it started (that's the current membership) however per our firm's policy, we cannot send mass emails to large groups without going through a details communication approval process. The Group settings right now do not allow for the admin to turn off the various notification emails each member receives. The only way to adjust the notification preferences is to go into each individual person's membership which is not feasible when bulk-uploading 1,800ppl. Do you have a solution available where the admin can control what comms members receive without needing to go into each individual's settings? This is a big problem that will lead to us not being able to utilize the Groups option.
