Non-hr user access to be given by an admin, allowing them to use SSO (and not basic log in)

We have contractors who are hired to temp support the team during campaigns. They have their own SSO but in order to have access to YC, we'd have to turn basic log in on. The 1 day we had this up, it caused a ton of confusion for employees. We need a way to contractors (a limited, small #) to be able to access the site via SSO. Bug support team recommended a possible fix is: Can we set the SSO ID for Non-HR users. Or, have the system recognize login routing for SSO users vs. Non-HR users.

Last year when I was trying to get my contractor to log in for the site, I enabled and then quickly disabled basic log in because she wasn’t able to use SSO.

We also logged a bug ticket, and they said there is no way to get non-hr users a way to log in via SSO.

    Case #: 019444602

Can you confirm if I was given wrong guidance in the past, or if this is a new capability?

Hi Michaele, thank you for your submission. Yes, when you are creating a non-hr user in the site, in the employee ID field you just need to input their SSO ID. This will allow the temp user to login via SSO and not require you turn on basic login. If you run into any issues feel free to let us or CSM know and we can look into it.
