Ability to Prevent Edits to Volunteer Data in a Previous Year

It has been found that a large percentage of volunteer data is edited years after the volunteer information was first recorded. This can create concerns with data integrity and accuracy. By assigning a date within the site wherein no changes to the data from the previous year can be made, we can limit the data discrepancies these changes create.

    To add on to this request, Wells Fargo would also like to ask that this type of enhancement be flexible. For example:

    • Allowing customers the option to opt-in or out of the locking down of historical volunteer participation.

    • Allowing customers to set a specific date in which historical volunteer participation is locked down. For example, Wells Fargo could indicate that on 2/15/2023 all 2022 volunteer participation is locked and cannot be modified by employees.

    • Allowing locked participation to be unlocked by admins should records need to be updated to report accurately on the years' volunteer participation.
