Photo Share with Community

Wondering if you might be able to allow the community to upload photos and allow other users to share within YourCause.1. Pictures added to an EE have always been challenging to add and takes several tries to get to the sweet spot. If someone has already uploaded a photo that works, why not share with others?

2. Pictures take up space in the system and would assume minimizing photos, might reduce costs and space.

Issues you may encounter. If pictures are taken from iStock or other vendors, would it cause issues from a legal standpoint? Might there be someone to partner with or could the client share and approve or could blackbaud add some higher-quality pictures as templates to use?

    Hi Chris, I was thinking it would be a photo bank provided by YourCause of approved images that could be used across all engagement elements.

    When clients are creating several EE's, a major constraint can be uploading a photo which looks good in all views (computer, cell, ipad). Going back and forth and checking all the views can drain time, frustrate the user, etc. Also, it would be great to be able to have the background pic and the ability to put in language over the picture too, but the picture is the most important.

    When I try to upload a logo of a current promotion and it has words on it, it would take me hours to try to get it right. Would be great to have the system put the picture in place automatically (if possible) and allow clients to share photos they upload if they want to. Or at least have a set of pictures we could scroll through which we could all use.

    Hey Elizabeth, thank you for your submission. The product team has been reviewing your request but we need a little clarification to make sure we are on the same page.

    When you ask for the ability within a community to upload photos, are you asking for the ability to upload photos by your employees, that can then be reviewing by your administrators to then be utilized by other employees? For example, a photo of a group of your employees volunteering might be desired to be used across other volunteering events. Or are you asking for a photo bank provided by YourCause of approved images that can be utilized across things like Engagement Elements?

    For item #2, the team was unsure what you meant by this. Could you please provide further explanation? Could you also explain a little further about the issues you may encounter?
