Remove ‘Event spans multiple days’ option from One Time Event Creation

When this option is selected, the system creates one, single event that spans multiple calendar dates, but only assigns participation in the event to one calendar date. For example, if an event is created using the one-time event/event spans multiple days option with a start date of 12/15/2022 and an end date of 1/15/23, the system creates one default shift of 12/15/22 – 1/15/23. When volunteers sign up for the event, they are not presented with an option to sign up for specific dates within the 12/15/22 – 1/15/23 range, but are only given one sign up option of 12/15/22 – 1/15/23. If volunteers sign up and participate, the participation date that is assigned to them per the system reporting is only 12/15/22. No participation is credited for 12/16/22 – 1/15/23.

In addition, if a volunteer participant qualified for a 2023 volunteer incentive as a result of participating for this event at any point in 2023, they will not receive an incentive due to all of their participation being credited to 2022.

Hi Madison, when using the event spanning multiple dates I find it helpful to create shifts for the dates they would participate so that hours reflect actual date participated.
