I have been able to replicate what you are experiencing and will be working with our engineering team to explore potential solutions. We will reach back out to you once that work has been planned. In the meantime, I did notice that if Clear Search is selected before searching for Chicago, results will be returned.

not sure if the attachments worked

Here is a replication of this - my homepage, with the default filters on. You can see there are two events both of which take place in Chicago. But when i use Chicago as a keyword search, as i might if there were 10+ events posted, the events do not show. Overall, it is confusing what the keyword search actually covers and it doesn't seem to match the way our users are using it. Most folks would search based on location/region but would prefert to use the search than to change the filters.

@Michaela, thank you for the detailed response. Would it be possible to attach a screen shot of what you are experience when executing this search with no filters, it may help to better diagnose what may be occurring. For this use case searching by Houston with no filters should be returning the desirable results as the search logic will normally find anything with the word Houston in the name or even location. I can also see the need for How To tips when a search returns no results

@bryan, the filters I had were "all locations, all upcoming dates, all organizations" - no other filters were put on. I've personally had these issues and have also heard complaints on the keyword search by many other employees. I've also heard from employees that "clear search" leaves them more confused.

@Michaela Hrbacek, by chance are there any filters previously set before executing the search for Houston events that might be excluding Houston from the search results? If so, clearing all filters before the Houston search may help to return the desired result.
