Introduce a "Gift My Match" feature within YourCause, allowing colleagues to transfer some or all of their unused annual matched giving allowance to another colleague who could benefit from additional matching support for their fundraising or charitable donations.

The feature would be fully automated, with built-in controls to ensure fairness, prevent misuse and maintain existing approval standards.

Key features would include:

• Flexible gifting: Colleagues can gift some or all of their remaining matched giving allowance to another eligible colleague.

• Built-in guardrails: Each colleague can receive a maximum of two gifted allowances per calendar year, with an optional cap on the total additional allowance they can accumulate.

• Automated administration: Transfers and allowance adjustments happen automatically within YourCause, without requiring administrators to create additional matched giving programmes or manually adjust individual allowances.

• Existing verification maintained: Receiving additional allowance does not automatically release funds. Colleagues must still submit evidence of eligible donations or fundraising, which remains subject to the standard approval process and matching criteria.

• Recognition and visibility: Colleagues who gift their allowance could receive a digital badge on their YourCause homepage, such as "I've Gifted My Match", celebrating their generosity and encouraging others to participate.

• Transparent tracking: Both colleagues can see their updated matched giving allowances, while administrators can monitor gifting activity and overall programme utilisation.

This would effectively introduce a colleague-to-colleague giving mechanism without changing the underlying matched giving programme, eligibility requirements or approval process.
